Came here after a nice long walk from congleton with my partner and planned our little date night here.
I really enjoyed it. Nice warm-looking little pub and great food.
Everyone who served us was so friendly and welcoming and i cant recommend it enough. With great food and great service i really have no complaints.

Just had Sunday lunch at the Egerton. High hopes but friends who we met said there had been a change in ownership. Definitely would not recommend. Service friendly but a bit Faulty Towers (no fault of young staff).
Beef was tough and fatty, no asking if we wanted pink or well done (come on it’s either slow cooked tender or pink!)
Yorkshire puds are Aunt Bessie’s or similar, def not home cooked. Veg ok but standard fare.
The Cheese pie was atrocious, pastry the high point, filling almost seemed curdled (see picture) and dry;mash and a decent cheddar as a minimum surely. Chips were excellent however.
Apple pie dessert was the highlight, though faulty towers-esq again. One with custard, one with cream ordered …two with custard came out, waiter realised the error, turned back, brought one out but neglected to arrange the one with cream. We had to ask and it came 10min later…like I say, nice pie though.
Oh, forgot to mention by the chicken wings. Ok-ish but needed longer in the oven to get crispy skin before sauce poured over …basics again missed. Hopefully work in progress for the new chef.
We took in good humour and being British didn’t complain.
Oh, this is based on a beef roast being £19 …we are getting in Paragon territory. A staff outing to gauge the service aim required perhaps!

We visited as a group of 8, 3 children and 5 adults. The new owners are lovely and staff are also very nice and helpful. It was our first time here and we’re very pleased with the food and service. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you 😁😋

We were staying nearby for 1 night so headed in for dinner. Great meals , all made on-site. Awesome service. Dining room was very comfortable. Definitely recommend

Whenever eating at a new venue and thoroughly enjoying the experience, it is inevitable to ask yourself if it was a one off. Dare I recommend it to family and friends? Will it be as good if I dine here again? This has happened to me in the past when my own delight has been overshadowed after my advice to partake of the pleasures of a particular restaurant has fallen on stony ground and my friends/family have been disappointed. So.... Am I easily satisfied? The answer to that is an emphatic NO!! If I visit somewhere I give an honest opinion. If it is bad I say so. If it deserves accolades then I have no qualms in being complimentary.
For once in my life I am certain that no negative thoughts will pass through my mind.
Myself and twelve friends (no, there was no Judas with us) had an early Christmas lunch at the Egerton Arms.
The food, atmosphere, excellent service and a helpful and friendly staff, all combined to make this a wonderful occasion.
You should now pick up your phone and make a booking. You will NOT be disappointed.

Called in for lunch and greeted by very friendly staff. Would highly recommend a visit here. Had a very tasty lunch and our Border Terrier was made very welcome. Would visit again if passing the area

Called in after our walk around the mere. We were welcomed and we had a dog sat in the bar area which was lovely as we had a veiw of the church ordered drinks and food. And it was beautiful dad had lamb my husband and myself had turkey roasts it was 5* service 5* lovely place and we didn't even book called in by chance
